Mid-May Update

I haven’t blogged much this week, as the end of the semester approaches. It’s always hectic, as final exams mean a lot of grading that must be done quickly. My grades are in, and this semester is in the books. This will also be my last semester teaching, as I am moving into consulting. This is a fully remote position that will allow me to mentor graduate students working on their dissertations. I am beyond excited by this. I think it will be a good thing for myself and for my family.

That said, allow me to remind everyone that It Hungers has just been released, and it is available in paperback at all major online retailers. I ask that those buying paperbacks go through Bookshop.org, as the website donates a portion of each sale to local independent bookstores. eBooks are available through Amazon. I also sell signed copies of the paperback ($15 and free domestic shipping!). These take approximately two weeks to deliver, depending on stock. However, each comes with a unique note and a signature. By Tuesday, I will have a signature option for all of my books.

Over the next few months, I’ll be beginning to talk about the next of Sam Hain’s adventures, Crossroad Blues, which will hit shelves in October (just in time for Sam’s birthday). I’m thinking about having a “birthday party” for Sam during the livestream associated with that release.

Speaking of livestreams, I will be doing a livestream where I brainstorm and (depending on how things go) sit down to write a short story. I want this to be an interactive experience with the audience as a way to raise money for a charity. I’ve been talking about doing this for some time, and now that I will have more time and energy this summer, I’m going to make it happen. I am still researching the best way to accomplish this, so I welcome serious suggestions.

And, The Romance Novel Project nears completion of the first draft. I’ll provide an update on that later this weekend.
